The UP Pride Film Festival (UPPFF) is a new and upcoming event meant to provide an avenue for filmmakers who wish to express and explore themes about gender and sexuality. Spearheaded by UP Pride and UP Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Komunikasyon (UP SAMASKOM), UPPFF aims to become a quintessential affair for young artists especially those from the UP System.

UPPFF hopes to support filmmakers who are either members or allies of the LGBTQI+ community, as they bear tales worthy of being seen and heard. Through this platform, artists and their works will be able to reach audiences from all backgrounds, furthering our mission to celebrate diversity, defend human rights, and push for equality.

The film festival will be held along with the annual celebration of UP Pride on the 25th to 29th of October. Other events include the UP Pride Opening, which will launch the main program, Equality Talks, an online forum on the experiences of the LGBTQI+ community during the pandemic, Twitter Rally, an online UP system-wide social media protest calling for efficient pandemic responses, human rights, and SOGIE equality, and finally, UP Pride Night, an online culminating program that will spotlight queer talent and brilliance
